Lesson plan for 5th grade students
Topic: Water
Content: Arts
Objectives:
· Students use creative arts to learn how to communicate their ideas and knowledge
· They use the Go Animate cartoon creator as a platform for effective storytelling and communication.
Recommended procedure:
Using the following Go Animate tool and any additional resources from the given gloster link http://amritharau.edu.glogster.com/water-the-fun-side-of-me/ or from other online or paper resources, students are required to create a short cartoon. The main focus of this cartoon would be to convey a message on the importance of either water conservation or water sanitation and hygiene, or the health benefits of water or any other topic that relates to spreading awareness on some significant aspect of water.
Students could also be encouraged to create a cartoon that they can share with their E-pals in other developing countries to help educate them on either water sanitation/hygiene or any other issue relating to water that they have learned about during their correspondence with them.
